The award is for innovative, patient-centred, healthy ageing projects that are at the forefront of putting the College of Medicine’s key principles into action: Service, Science and Healing.

Projects shortlisted will be celebrated at an awards ceremony and invited to attend our annual conference at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist on May 3rd 2012.

 

Winning prize

  • Cash prize £1500
  • A 4 minute mini-documentary about your project by NICE TV.
  • One complementary place at the CoM annual conference on 03/05/12 and one complementary place at a pre-Conference workshops on 2 May 2012 of your choice
  • Demonstration site status with an enhanced profile on our website.
  • An innovations certificate
  • Inclusion of project materials either in the Conference delegate material (and/or in the general exhibition)

Runners up (up to 2 projects) will be awarded:

  • Cash prize £750
  • One complementary place at the CoM annual conference on 03/05/12 and one complementary place at a pre-Conference workshops on 2 May 2012 of your choice
  • Demonstration site status with an enhanced profile on the CoM website
  • An innovations certificate

If you are not presently a member of the Innovations Network, please contact helen.cooke@collegeofmedicine.org.uk for an application form. 

Your application for the award will also serve as an application to the College of Medicine’s Innovations Network. If you would like to enter the award but not join the Innovations Network please inform Helen when your apply. It will not cost your project anything to join the Innovations Network.

All members of the Innovations Network are eligible to apply. If you are a current network member you will be automatically entered for the award and do not need to complete any additional paperwork. If you would prefer we did not enter your project, please notify me as soon as possible and by 20/12/11 at the latest.

If you would like to send additional information to expand the details we currently hold for your project to emphasise your involvement with healthy ageing, please send them to me as soon as possible.

Patient testimonials, audit/evaluation reports, research papers or details of current research you're conducting etc. would be particularly helpful. Please also confirm you are happy for this information to be held on the CoM website.

**Projects who have been shortlisted will be notified by February 28th 2012**
