Science Council
Good medicine must be grounded in good science as well as compassion. The College's Science Council brings a depth of knowledge from many senior figures.
Our members include leading scientists such as Professor Ajit Lalvani, while biophysicists and chemists are joined by Professor of Cancer Biology, Mustafa Djamgoz and Professor of Phytochemistry Simon Gibbons. We are also supported by epidemiologists and experts in public health such as Professor Andrew Miles and Professor Paul Little.
Professor Barry McCormick, who is Director for the Centre for Health Service Economics and Organisation, is a member, as is Professor Jane Plant, a leading geochemist and expert on hazardous substances in the environment.
